Most Disliked

As a bustling takeaway spot, long queues can form, especially on Fridays. Some patrons note that it can be a wait—though many argue it’s worth it for the fresh fish. Payment issues pop up sometimes, with reports of the card machine being out of service, leading to patrons needing cash. Furthermore, the £10 minimum for card transactions can be inconvenient for solo diners seeking just a quick snack. A few visitors mention that the ambiance, being quite casual, may not be fancy enough for a formal dining experience, but that slight negativity adds to its quaint charm.

This place is busy on a Friday but it's worth the wait for freshly fried cod. Nice and crispy batter. Saveloy is good too. Card machine wasn't working so take some cash just in case. There is a £10 minimum order for cards but this is understandable given the high transaction charges small businesses have to pay. Support your local chippy, pay a visit today. Update: This chippy now has the added attraction of having some Banksy artwork above it!
